Cottage Cheese

“Ever heard the stereotype of body builders eating bowl after bowl of cottage cheese? There’s a good

reason for that,” White says. A half-cup of cottage cheese contains 15 grams of filling, muscle-building protein. Also, in a 2014 BJM Open study of 612 cheeses, it was found to be the lowest-sodium variety. As a rule of thumb, cheeses that are soft and less aged tend to be low in sodium.

Lentils

Lentils

ree

Lentils are a pulse that is used in many cuisines throughout the world; notably, South East Asian countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Lentils require a long cooking time, but the seeds can be sprouted which makes them ready to eat - and a delicious, healthy snack. Adding a container of sprouted lentils to a lunchbox or picnic basket, perhaps with some chili powder or pepper for flavoring, makes for a delicious and healthy snack.

I love to cuddle in, knit and watch Netflix! But occasionally I like to get out and snow shoe!

My partner here at Up North loves to be out skiing and snowboarding with her family!
